8-Day Egypt Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Cairo
Meet our representative at Cairo International Airport for a seamless arrival. Experience a private transfer to your 5-star hotel, check-in, and settle into your accommodation for your first night stay in Cairo.

Day 2 – Giza Pyramids – Sphinx – Egyptian Museum
Start your day with a visit to the iconic Great Pyramids of Giza, an ancient wonder that includes the impressive pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus. Marvel at the Sphinx and the Valley Temple that accompany these magnificent structures. As you approach, catch glimpses of these historic slopes amidst Cairo’s modern skyline. Stand in awe of the towering 481-foot Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest among them.
Next, head to the Egyptian Museum, home to the treasures of the young pharaoh Tutankhamen. Guided by your Egyptologist, this experience provides a perfect introduction to the historic sites you’ll explore along the Nile. After a fulfilling day, return to your Cairo hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 3 – Cairo – Flight to Aswan – High Dam – Philae Temple – Nubian Village
After breakfast, your day begins with a short flight from Cairo to Aswan. Upon arrival, you’ll have some time to explore Aswan before settling into your cruise ship accommodation on the Nile. Now, get ready for a great day of further sightseeing!
First, visit the Aswan High Dam, constructed during 1960 to 1970. This dam is the largest of its kind globally and was built to manage the Nile River and prevent flooding in Egypt. Next, you’ll see the Philae Temple, built in honor of the goddess Isis. This temple is stunning and would have been lost to floods if not for the Aswan dam. Return to Aswan to enjoy lunch aboard your cruise ship, and prepare for your next later in the afternoon. You have the option to visit the Nubian Village, which is vibrant with colorful houses. People here have been farming along the Nile for a long time. The village has its own unique culture, and you’ll see camels strolling through the streets.

Day 4 – Abu Simbel – Kom Ombo – Overnight in Edfu
Optional tour – You’ve got an excellent opportunity to embark on an early morning excursion to marvel at the majestic Great Temples of Abu Simbel. Crafted by Ramses II and Nefertari, these awe-inspiring temples are renowned for their splendor and the remarkable feat of being relocated in 1968 to avoid submersion beneath Lake Nasser.
Alternatively, you can remain on the cruise ship to relax and take in the sights surrounding the Nile.
In the afternoon, you’ll embark on a scenic 5-hour cruise from Aswan to Kom Ombo, where you’ll have the chance to explore the remarkable Kom Ombo Temple. This unique sanctuary is dedicated to two deities: Haroeris, an ancient incarnation of the falcon-headed god Horus, and the revered Crocodile God Sobek. Situated on the banks of the Nile, the temple overlooks the waters where crocodiles once basked in the sun.
In the evening, onboard your Nile cruise ship, you’ll be treated to an unforgettable Egyptian Night Party. Embrace the spirit of the evening by donning a traditional Egyptian garment known as a Galabeya. The festivities will feature a vibrant blend of 60s and 70s dance tunes and traditional Arabian music.

Day 5 – Edfu – Luxor – Karnak Temples
Today’s morning excursion takes you to explore the majestic Temple of Edfu along the banks of the Nile. Remarkably well-preserved, this temple was erected to honor Horus, the celestial deity and offspring of Osiris and Isis, and dates back to the Greco-Roman era when it was built during the reign of Cleopatra VII.
Following your temple excursion, your Nile voyage continues. In the afternoon, you’ll arrive in Luxor, where you’ll have the opportunity to delve into the awe-inspiring temples of Luxor and Karnak. These architectural marvels, devoted to the worship of the sun god Amun Ra, exemplify the grandeur of ancient pharaonic construction. Additionally, you’ll explore the recently unveiled avenue of sphinxes and a plethora of other stunning sights. Be sure not to overlook the captivating temple illuminations at night for magnificent photo opportunities.

Day 6 – Luxor – Valley of the Kings – Hatshepsut Temple – Cairo
Step off the cruise ship and begin an early morning adventure to Luxor’s West Bank. Your journey starts by crossing the Nile River. Discover the remarkable Temple of Hatshepsut, a symbol of the achievements of ancient Egypt’s notable female Pharaoh. Hatshepsut, inspired by her powerful father, flourished during her reign. She undertook famous trade voyages to present-day Somalia, the land of Punt, bringing back valuable treasures.
Next, head to the Valley of the Kings, where you can enter a royal tomb and marvel at the array of 64 tombs, each with its unique size and complexity. Ranging from simple pits to elaborate chambers with over 120 royal rooms, this site also features the Colossus of Memnon and ongoing archaeological efforts.
After a day of exploration, you will be transferred to Luxor International Airport for an evening flight to Cairo International Airport. Upon arrival in Cairo, settle in for the night in Cairo hotel.

Day 7 – Day Trip to Alexandria
After an early breakfast, get ready to be picked up at 7AM from your hotel for an exciting day trip to Alexandia. Fuel up with a hearty breakfast before embarking on an exciting day trip to Alexandria. Your first stop will be Pompey’s Pillar, an iconic monument that stands tall as a testament to ancient history, with ties to the Temple of Serapis.
Next, delve into the mysterious Catacombs of Kom el Shuqafa, dating back to the 2nd century AD. Marvel at their unique blend of Hellenistic and Pharaonic influences, offering insights into the rich art and culture of Alexandria. You’ll also catch a glimpse of the exterior of the magnificent Alexandria Library, a modern marvel paying homage to the city’s illustrious past.
After exploring these historic sites, get a taste for authentic Egyptian cuisine by indulging in a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Then, continue your adventure with a visit to Qaitbay Fort, an imposing structure constructed by Sultan Qaitbay on the ancient grounds of Pharos Island.
When the tour comes to an end your guide will accompany you back to your hotel in Cairo.
Day 8 – Cairo – Fly home
After breakfast, we’ll arrange a hassle-free transfer to Cairo International Airport for your departing flight.
