10-Day Tour Itinerary of Egypt
Day – 1 Arrival in Cairo
Welcome to Egypt! Upon your arrival at Cairo Airport, meet up with our representative who will greet you at the airport to assist with visa procedures and immigration, and introduce you to your private transfer driver who will take you to your hotel in Cairo.

Day 2 – Cairo – Giza Pyramid Complex
After breakfast, set out on an excursion to explore the iconic Giza Pyramid Complex, featuring the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, as well as the Great Sphinx. Marvel at the transition of these ancient wonders from stepped to smooth sides. Optionally, venture inside one of the pyramids for an additional fee.
Later, journey south to Saqqara to set your sights on the Step Pyramid of Djoser, declared a World Heritage Site in 1979. Conclude the day at the Royal Necropolis of Dahshur, home to the Bent and Red Pyramids. These unique pyramids were built by Sneferu, Egypt’s first true king.

Day 3 – Cairo – Egyptian Museum and Old Cairo
Delve into Ancient Egyptian history at the Egyptian Museum, housing an extensive collection of antiquities, including the treasures of the young pharaoh Tutankhamen.
Later, you’ll embark on a guided tour of Old Cairo, visiting the Citadel of Salah El-Din, Mohammed Ali Mosque, Hanging Church, and Khan El Khalili Bazaar. The formidable Citadel of Salah El-Din is a majestic fortress offering panoramic views of the city, and is considered one of the most popular monuments in the city. Inside, you can marvel at the exquisite craftsmanship of the Mohammed Ali Mosque, with its towering minarets and opulent interiors. Continue your exploration with a visit to the ancient Hanging Church, a UNESCO World Heritage site nestled amidst the bustling streets. Then, conclude your day at the vibrant Khan El Khalili Bazaar, where the scent of spices fills the air and colorful stalls beckon with treasures waiting to be discovered.
For more discovery after today’s excursion, consider venturing to Alexandria and El Alamein, where history comes alive amidst ancient ruins and coastal views. Explore the remnants of Alexandria’s storied past and pay homage to fallen heroes at the historic battlegrounds of El Alamein.

Day 4 – Cairo to Aswan – Philae Temple and Felucca Sailing
After breakfast, check out of your hotel in Cairo and take a private transfer to Cairo International Airport to board your Aswan-bound flight.
After settling into your new accommodations in Aswan, set out for a day of exploration. Starting with a visit to the Philae Temple, this sacred sanctuary was dedicated to the goddess Isis, and boasts remarkable architecture adorned with intricate carvings and hieroglyphs. Wander through the temple complex to explore its various chambers, courtyards, and shrine. Then, move on to explore the Granite Quarries to see the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest known ancient obelisk with a mystery surrounding its unfinished commission, though it is believed that it was not completed due to flaws in the stone and multiple fissures.
Conclude your day’s exploration with a relaxing cruise on the Nile in an Egyptian Felucca, passing by Elephantine Island and the Botanical Gardens on Kitchener Island.

Day 5 – Aswan to Abu Simbel – Aswan
Embark on a day trip to Abu Simbel, home to twin rock-carved temples, including the colossal statues of Ramesses II. Explore the temples’ interior reliefs depicting ancient Egyptian mythology and history.
Nestled along the banks of Lake Nasser, these twin rock-carved temples stand as awe-inspiring monuments to the reign of Pharaoh Ramesses II. Dominating the landscape are the colossal statues of Ramesses II himself, seated majestically at the entrance, each measuring over 65 feet in height. As you step into the temples’ interior, you’ll be greeted by an elaborate display of reliefs and hieroglyphs, vividly depicting scenes from ancient Egyptian mythology and history. These intricately carved artworks offer a glimpse into the religious beliefs, royal conquests, and daily life of this bygone era, providing a profound insight into the cultural richness and artistic sophistication of ancient Egypt.

Day 6 – Aswan to Luxor
Say goodbye to Aswan and prepare for your next destination rich in ancient Egyptian history – Luxor. As you travel north along the majestic Nile River you’ll discover the unique Temple of Kom Ombo, a remarkable double temple dedicated to two powerful ancient Egyptian deities, Sobek and Horus the Elder. Observe the symmetrical design and intricate reliefs up close as you explore the sanctuaries dedicated to each god.
Continuing your voyage, you’ll encounter the well-preserved Edfu Temple, a magnificent structure dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus where you can wander through its towering columns and expansive courtyards.
Upon reaching Luxor, check into your hotel and settle into your accommodations, and spend the rest of the evening at your own leisure.

Day 7 – Luxor – West Bank Exploration
After breakfast, begin today’s exploration at Luxor’s captivating West Bank, a treasure trove of ancient wonders awaiting discovery. First, visit the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs of Egypt’s New Kingdom were laid to rest in elaborate tombs adorned with intricate hieroglyphs and stunning artworks. Marvel at the grandeur of the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, rising majestically against the backdrop of rugged cliffs.
Then, continue on to Deir el-Medina, an ancient village where the artisans who built the royal tombs once lived. Today is free for you to enjoy at your leisure, and at your own pace. Luxor has a myriad of cultural treasures for you to explore. You may want to visit the Luxor Museum to discover historical artifacts and their significance. You can also venture on a full-day excursion to the mysterious ancient sites of Abydos and Dendera. Explore the sacred temples of Abydos, dedicated to the god Osiris, and marvel at the intricate reliefs and hieroglyphs adorning their walls. Then, journey to Dendera to admire the beautifully preserved Temple of Hathor, a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian architecture renowned for its celestial ceiling and vibrant depictions of ancient rituals.

Day 9 – Luxor to Cairo – East Bank Exploration

Observe the towering columns, intricately carved reliefs, and sacred sanctuaries. Then, move on to Luxor Temple, a stunning testament to Egypt’s grandeur and splendor. Delve into its storied past as you wander through the colossal statues, towering obelisks, and imposing pylons that adorn its hallowed grounds.
In the evening, prepare to check out of your accommodation and take your transfer to Luxor airport, where you will board your return flight to Cairo.
